Lighthouse Wraparound Care, operated by Long Lawford Methodist Church, are looking for a playworker to join the friendly team at our community wraparound care, for children between the ages of 4-11, in the village of Long Lawford, Rugby.  The position is for approximately 18 hours a week, working between 7.30 - 9.00 and 2.4 -5 6.00 during the school term.  Exact hours will be agreed with the successful applicant. There is the possibility of working afternoons only.

The successful applicant will work as part of a team, reporting to the wraparound manager. They will be asked to accompany children safely to and from school, care for children during wraparound sessions and organise appropriate activities. 

Experience of working with children is essential. Qualifications in childcare are desirable but we welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience but no formal qualifications. Successful candidates will be supported in obtaining further qualifications appropriate to their role. 

Successful candidates will be expected to undertake appropriate safeguarding and paediatric first aid training.

Safeguarding of children in our care is extremely important at Lighthouse Wraparound Care. Therefore, appointment is dependent upon the successful candidate completing an enhanced DBS check and providing 2 satisfactory references.

Hourly rate: from £10.90 per hour, depending on experience
