Our school wraparound care sessions, based in Long Lawford Methodist Church are fully OFSTED registered.
We run 2 sessions:
In the mornings, we are open from 7.45 until the start of school. In the mornings, we offer quieter activities such as board games, Lego or simple arts and crafts. Children are then be escorted to school and taken to their classroom door by Wraparound staff.
In the afternoon, children are collected from the school from 3.00 before walking to the Methodist Church. Children are able to eat snacks that they have brought with them(we currently do not offer snacks other than drinks) Children can then enjoy our fun sessions of craft, games and play. We offer a variety of different activities for children to participate in - anything from craft activities to simple science experiments or cooking. Or children can just enjoy playing!
Sessions are run by staff who have been DBS checked and undergone training in safeguarding and behaviour management. All members of staff at each session have undergone a 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate. We work closely with Long Lawford Primary School and have undertaken training sessions with their staff to ensure consistency in the way we care for the children.
The cost of wraparound care is £4.50 per hour for the first child and £4.00 per hour for siblings.

Safeguarding at Lighthouse Wraparound Care
We consider the welfare of all children attending our sessions to be exceedingly important. Our staff have undertaken training in recognising and responding to any concerns and we always work closely with parents and Long Lawford Primary School to ensure children's needs are met.
Our safeguarding policy follows the guidelines of the Methodist church but takes into account the distinct nature of the wraparound sessions and the need for additional procedures.
If you have any concerns regarding safeguarding at Lighthouse Wraparound Care please contact either the manger using the details above or contact the Chair of the governing body via email or by phone: Mr Stuart Bussey 07594 133449
